Wanted: Hot Drama Recs!!!

OKay, so I’ll be honest here… I need a little inspiration. I am a bit of a drama ho’ yo, so what I’m looking for are some recommendations for some good live action errr Action! Be it a good movie or even the most archaic drama series – I’m in, I’ve recently got all nostalgic on some older series so I am pretty much open to all suggestions (especially since my touch of death last post killed this blog LOL). So suggest away as I am hoping my ole live action buddy Os will also be inspired in free for all drama goodness.
PS: Sorry but Swans ‘fricken’ Crossing DOES NOT COUNT!

Both Western and Asian??
If Western, I recommend Firefly and Wonderfalls. For Asian… Hm. LEt me get back to you on that one. I can’t seem to think at the moment.

Ha ha, I still watch plenty of dramas. I think I’ll hit up a Code Blue one soon, now that you mention it. I’ll come back with a list of recommendations alter.
But right at the moment, the ones I’m watching: Rookies, Last Friends (too heavy for me to finish, maybe), Binbo Danshi, Code Blue, and Iljimae (korean)

Yep, Firefly is loads of awesome.
As for Asian dramas…. I really enjoyed Coffee Prince and how it delved into homosexuality. Plus, it has funny + drama = Win! This made me appreciate Gong Yoo as an actor. Excellent acting that dude. And he’s hott. And not to be outdone, Yoon Eun Hye is a revelation. She’s actually more than a pretty face.
Or you could try Fantasy Couple. It’s Korean take on Goldie Hawn’s Overboard. It’s hilarious, and there’s the luscious Oh Ji Ho.
Or you could try “I’m Sorry, I Love you”. I warn you, though. This is a hardcore tearjerker. Heavy-duty stuff. You need to load up on Kleenex for this. But man, if you can get past some of the fake illness(es) [I won’t spoil you but there’s some ridiculous injury that would never fly in the real world], it has some of the most heart-wrenching tale evah. Except for a couple of supporting actors, this series had a solid cast, acting wise.

Coffee Prince IS THE BEST. One of my favorite dramas of all time. Favorite K-Drama. My favorite J-dramas are Stand Up!! and Nobuta Wo Produce (Which I remember writing reviews of way back when) and the newly added Ashita no Kita Yoshio.

Nice recs! Okay so I’m gonna finish up LIFE tonight, damn that is some good school drahmah, and I’m pretty intrigued with this whole Coffee Prince thing. I think Ten has suckered me into watching I’m Sorry I love You, though – I think I’m pretty hard so it’s like a challenge! I DARE YOU TO DEFY ME, TEAR DUCTS! (I let you know how that works out)!
I loved Nobuta wa Produce, however not as much as Nodame Cantabile (frick, spelling?) which I really found cute. I have to say that the retro-tastic Glass Mask series is calling me with her siren song…

I’ve seen firefly, but there was a movie made from the series and the movie, itself, would blow you away…. and there is a lot of action… People die and they definitely have some creepy things… And the enemies are cannibals, murderers, rapers and are called the Reavers… Its a really good movie… lots of action and the stakes are really high.
