The Conception – By Os

As one can see here, I initially planned on going into this alone and call it Os-ism. I like blog titles with “os” in them so i can then make it my screename on forums and irc and stuff if I have to have more than two letters as a screen name (For eg: konOSono and karOShi).

But then I started to get cold feet. I’ve worked on team blogs my entire blogging existence (even when I decided to temp blog at Heterochromia just so I can vent somewhere) and I just knew I couldn’t do it alone so I decided to ask around for some help.

What did I do? I went to animenano.com and went through all the blogs that have not posted in a long time (what did I consider a long time? A couple months or if they’ve posted recently, there’s a large gap between the posts)… essentially places that were daed or almost there. The only other condition is that I either remember them as being extremely friendly to me or that they’ve linked me at one point or both.

As of this writing, the team consists of 5 people, but I asked a whole lot more people than that. You can read more about the team below. And well, that’s pretty much it. I got all their e-mails, sent a giant e-mail to all of them explaining my idea of “an EPIC comeback” and waited for replies. The first to reply was Ten and the others started to trickle in (Matte, Newt, and then Anna).

My hook? I knew that everyone pretty much died off because they were probably like me. I used to blog everyday, a fact which I was proud of… but then my real life started to get in the way and then I pretty much burnt out. Natsukashii Anime blog is a team blog in hopes of counteracting this effect. This blog is for fun and a push to help bring their passion back into blogging.

The Name

For those not in the know Natsukashii is Romaji for “Nostalgic”. With the team I was creating, I wanted something along the lines of that feeling. I also was about to call this blog “Frashback” -a title for the lulz and one Randall was very much for- but then after asking others, I decided to think about it more. I lost a couple hours of sleep every night just rolling around and thinking (One of the parts I hate most about blogging is thinking of a title) even when I had finals and then this just popped into my head.
